The BBC broadcasted a scene from a North Korean children’s TV program. The scene was of a fierce wolf being shot, where the bullet flew through the wolf’s throat passing through the whole body leaving blood droplets splashing all over the screen. The children’s program is aired for half an hour each day and the BBC pointed out the violence of the program where it contains scenes of hitting each other and even dying after being attacked. We pray that the growing young generation of North Korea will grow into children of faith by being exposed to the scriptures of the Bible and the love of Jesus, and not to videos that promote violence and hatred.
“Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; He who guards his soul will be far from them. Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:5-6)
Lord, we lift up to you the children in North Korea who from childhood are raised by watching videos of propaganda praising Kim’s regime and videos that are hostile to neighboring countries such as the United States and South Korea. We pray for an educational environment where they can hear the gospel and learn the love of God. May the children learn the forgiveness and love of Jesus Christ and learn to live that life.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
