Wuhan Coronavirus acts as bad news for Kim Jong Un, who declared a frontal breakthrough at the end of last year. The freezing of the Yalu and the Tumen river is the most active time for border smuggling. In addition, Kim Jong Un’s scheme of going against the sanctions and filling the empty vault with foreign currency imports by expanding tourism has been disrupted. Underneath the title of virus protection, North Korean authorities have blocked all borders and suspended all aircraft and trains to and from China. We pray that the current situation in which transportations across the borders has been ceased, will not intensify the lives of the citizens and adversely affect the preaching of the gospel.
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will [a]revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” (Psalm 138:7-8)
God, who protects His people in distress, a new coronavirus from China has closed down North Korea’s borders, making economic hardships inevitable. We pray that this situation will not make the lives of the citizens worse and may there be no trouble in hearing your word, Lord.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
