[Prayer] The No. 1 gift for the North Korean officials on holidays: Philopon (Methamphetamine)

A North Korean source reported that philopon, called ice or Bingdu in North Korea, is used and merchandised by 30% of residents of Pyeongseong in the Pyongsan area. In addition, people greet with one another by saying, “Have philopan!” when they visit their family or friends on holidays. Philopon is ranked the No.1 gift for the North Korean officials on holidays and the second one is dollar.     

Even though drugs are spreading widely within North Korea, the crackdown and punishment on drugs are inadequate, which causes more drugs usage. Prayer is needed for the North Korean residents who are easily exposed to drugs in their society.  

“Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends,

let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit,

perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”
