[Prayer] North Koreans put their hope and trust only on God this new year
What is the wish of the North Koreans for the New Year 2019? Last year was “free economic activity,” and in the year before last it was “a society without control, where people can eat and live through business.” The year 2019 will be pretty much same. The first hope of North Koreans was ‘stable life’, as Asian Press confirmed at the end of 2017 through over 100 calls. They hoped that the various restrictions on censoring and cracking down on economic activity would disappear and an environment would be set up for them to eat and live on their own. In addition, there was a great desire for “free foreign travel and contact with external information,” Asia Press said. Like China and Vietnam, North Korea also wanted to go abroad and access external information through reform and opening.
Prayer is needed for the North Korean residents to put their hope and trust only on God, not their economic issues or environmental changes so that they will be able to taste the blessing and work of God this year.
