[Prayer] Let the international community work closely together for the sanctions on North Korea
A senior French official has been arrested for doing espionage work for North Korea. The suspect, who is a person who visited North Korea several times and wrote several books on North Korea, is seemed to have provided North Korea with confidential information for a relatively long time. In addition, the US Justice Department sued two Chinese companies involved in the money laundering of North Korean financial institutions and one Singapore company for confiscation of funds. These companies worked with camouflage companies established by the North Korean bank and manipulated the deals to complicate the process of financing and approached the US financial network. In the case, three companies and 20 companies are listed.
With unprecedented sanctions on North Korea, the North Korean economy is facing increasingly difficult conditions. In order to overcome the immediate crisis, North Korea has been helped by the cooperation of its partners. The French government officials arrested this time, and the Chinese and Singapore companies that were indicted, are some of them. We should pray that the international community will faithfully implement sanctions against the North without coordinating with the North Korean regime, leading to the denuclearization and the opening of North Korea.
