[Prayer] Let the Korean Wave be used for the Gospel unification in the Korean Peninsula
It is said that the recorded video of the performance of South Korean art team, which took place in the spring of this year, is being sold in the Suan market in North Korea. The Suan market, located in Chongjin, North Hamkyung Province, is the largest marketplace in North Korea and serves as a base for various supplies throughout North Korea. North Korean sources say that the DVDs of the performance of South Korean art team are trading at 3 – 6 dollars.
It has been a long time since USB, SD card, and CD containing Korean songs and dramas became popular in Jangmadang as well as this performance DVD. Although the North Korean authorities are continuing sanctions, it is unlikely that this trend will disappear easily because the Korean Wave is already passing through the hearts of North Koreans. We need to pray for the continued flow of news and information from the outside world through the Korean Wave to wake up the consciousness of the North Korean people, and further to the collapse of the system and the Gospel unification.
In Matthew 10:26, God says, “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.” I lift up the phenomenon of the mass culture of South Korea spreading to North Koreans. Let more outside culture and information flow into North Korea, a closed society. Even the North Korean authorities intensify educational propaganda, deify the Kim family, and infiltrate Juche ideology, the truth will not be hidden and be revealed. Let all the contents that the North Korean residents purchase from Jangmadang and radio broadcasts be used as a tool for revealing the false reality of the North Korean regime. So that the wind of change may blow from within. Also, may the Word of God be revealed to the people of North Korea as the light of life. For this, let more Bibles be delivered to North Korea, and let the teaching and training of the Word be expanded. We believe that the key to dismantling the stronghold of North Korea and shattering Juche ideology is the Word of truth. We praise God who will save the North Korean souls through the Gospel and fulfill the unified Korean Peninsula. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen!
