[Prayer] May the people of North Korea be nourished physically and spiritually!
“I heard that North Korea had snow a month ago. I watched the snowfall in a video taken in China. I got so emotional at that moment. I thought to myself, ‘How empty the heart of North Korean people would be if the weather got even colder in a situation where they were hungry.’ I remembered the feeling that I had felt in North Korea in the past. If I could send them anything and they could receive it, why would I not want to send them whatever they needed at any cost? But, whatever and however we send to them, how much could it help to their miserable lives? When the gospel, the most fundamental thing, is spread all over the north, the land of North Korea will be transformed most beautifully. Although their afflicted circumstances cannot be described in words, the gospel is what has transformed me into a life of today from living in the most miserable condition.”
This is a tearful confession of a North Korean believer who escaped from North Korea. Even though what is needed most in North Korea, which has a colder and longer winter than South Korea, would be warm clothes, food, and a house, the faith of putting the need of a spirit above the need of a body is so precious. As he prayed to God with his own lip, we should gather the power of prayer together for the gospel to thrive in the land of North Korea, so that the dead souls will be resurrected.
In Matthew 6:33, God says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” I lift up North Korea who is dead spiritually and physically. We confess that only the gospel can restore North Korea. Please remember the North Korean people who are suffering from physical hardships and spiritual barrenness. May the people of North Korea sitting in the shadow of death see the light of Jesus, and above all, may they encounter Jesus, the Word, so that they can get the ultimate answer to life. May the number of God’s people who are saved in North Korea increase day by day, and may the word of God be preached without limitation. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
