[Prayer] Protect North Korean Children from hunger and cold this winter

According to the 2018 report ‘Food Security and Nutrition Status in the Asia-Pacific Region’ published by the United Nations, the nutrition and health status of North Koreans has been found to be serious. The report cited crop damage from frequent droughts and floods as a major cause and said that North Korea was the lowest among Asian and Pacific countries on various indicators. Especially, the poor growth rate of children under 5 years old was 27.9%, more than twice the average of 12.2% in the area. The underweight ratio of children under 5 years was also 4%, far exceeding the average of 2% in East Asia. Prayer is needed for North Korean people, especially children, to improve their poor growth and malnutrition.

In Psalm 65: 9-10, God says, “You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.” I lift up the North Korean children who are suffering from health problems and crop damage caused by frequent droughts and floods. Please protect them from being underweight, underdeveloped and malnourished. Also, protect Kotjebi (North Korean homeless children) from hunger and cold this winter. Until the day of unification, until the day when they hear the Gospel, may the Lord hold the lives of the children of North Korea. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
