[Prayer] Let the North Korean people be delivered from drug addiction
Stimulant drug-related crimes are rampant in North Korea. Despite crackdowns by the North Korean authorities, many of the drug addicts in North Korea begin to use opiates to treat illnesses or to use drugs as analgesics. Drugs that were produced for foreign currency earning at the national level were circulated in North Korea and spread among the residents not only because of the drug sellers who knew that drugs were money, but also a situation where there was no proper medication for the North Korean residents to use, which made them use drugs like panacea. It is also common for families to break down if they are seriously addicted. However, there is no treatment and prevention system for drug problems in North Korea, and there is no recognition of the necessity. Prayer is needed for North Koreans exposed to drug addiction.
In Isaiah 30: 26, God says, “The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the Lord binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted.” I lift up the North Korean people who are addicted to drugs. May medical infrastructure be established in North Korea that has no solution to those who use drugs like panacea and end up getting addicted. Especially, let the structural problems, in which the North Korean people cannot help but get exposed to drugs, be eradicated, so that an environment can be set up for them to do normal economic activities. May the gospel be delivered to the devastated heart of North Korean people so that their thirst can be filled with the eternal grace of God. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
