[Prayer] Worshiping the statue of Kim’s family has become a routine in North Korea

The North Korean authorities have forced foreigners visiting North Korea to worship the statue of Kim’s family, but recently they do not force those who do not want to visit the statue. However, they actively give more favor and less surveillance to those who worship the statue than those who don’t. The first schedule that Chinese tourists do on a half-day tour in North Korea is to visit the statue of Kim’s family. It is no wonder for North Koreans to be forced to worship the statue.

It is a symbolic act to pledge allegiance to the North Korean regime in the act of offering a flower to the statue or worshiping in North Korea, which claims that Kim Il-sung is the Sun when he is alive or even dead. This is the way to make North Koreans to believe that even foreigners come to worship the Kim’s family, which is a sin of idolatry that God hates most. Prayer is needed for the customary idolatry in North Korea to be eradicated.

In Psalm 108: 5, God says, “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.” I lift up North Korea where idolatry has become a routine. I pray that the North Korean authorities will stop the sin of forcing not only North Koreans but also foreign visitors to worship the statue of Kim’s family. In addition to this, let all the historic sites, labs, buildings, images, and portraits of Kim’s family in every house that promote idolatry that God hates be eradicated. May the church of God be established throughout North Korea. May those who preach the Gospel be built up and protected safely, so that the next generations of North Koreans, who do not know God and have grown up in an environment where idolatry has become a routine, come to know God as their Creator and worship him alone. May only God be exalted in the land of North Korea. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
