[Prayer] North Korean border guards who signed a written pledge of prevention of escaping North Korea
At the end of last month, it was reported that military officers, whose ranks were above the North Korean border patrol officer, signed a pledge to do their best to avoid problems such as defecting, smuggling and illegal phone calls at the border crossing. Since the North Korean authorities strengthens surveillance of military officers, the guards and brokers who help North Korean defectors and smugglers become nervous and cautious. In addition, the control over North Koreans who are in contact with their families in South Korea has been greatly strengthened, and now, if it is discovered that a Korean telephone number remains on the call list, it should be transferred to the National Security Agency for investigation.
The reason North Korea bans escaping, smuggling, and illegal calling is that it threatens to maintain the system. However, the North Korean people are trying to escape and smuggle to survive under the deformed economic structure of North Korea. Border guards have been bribed by the North Korean people for their livelihoods to escape, smuggle, and illegal phone calls, but since their control has been strengthened, brokers do not participate in escape or smuggling, so special prayer is needed. We need to pray that the North Korean authorities should stop the evil deed of strengthening the border security by forcing the North Korean border guards to sign a pledge in order to prevent the North Korean people from escaping from North Korea.
In Amos 5:14, God says, “Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.” I lift up a situation where the North Korean authorities’ border security has been strengthened. Please let everything that is thought to be a threat to the North Korean system, such as defection, smuggling, and communication with the outside world, spread and multiply. So, let the evil social and political structure of North Korea exploiting the North Korean people collapse, and let all the North Korean people freely cross the border. Through this, let the Gospel be delivered to the inside of North Korea more quickly, and let it be preached, and the day will soon come when all the people of North Korea can freely worship and praise God. In addition, please protect the inhabitants and the people who are now crossing the border, and keep them from being in trouble. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
