[Prayer] North Korea whose crop yields have fallen due to natural disasters

Earlier this month, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) found that roughly 90,000 hectares of agricultural land were damaged in mid-July to early August due to heat and drought damage in North Korea. In Pyongan and Hwanghae Province, natural disasters have reduced crop yields. Every time North Korea was unable to supply its own food, the international community provided food and supplies to North Koreans. However, until now, it is well known that North Korean authorities are categorizing food, medicines and relief goods coming in from outside, classifying them as munitions and keeping them out of the market with expired materials. If the relief goods sent from the international community went directly to the people of North Korea, it would not have been necessary for the North Korean people to pay high price for the relief goods from the market. Therefore, the prayer is needed or the food to be delivered directly to the North Korean people, not to the North Korean authorities.

In Psalm 80:19, God says, “Restore us, LORD God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.” I lift up the North Korea whose crop yields have fallen due to natural disasters. As North Korea is in a situation that needs support from the international community again due to the food shortage, may the situation, in which the North Korean residents have not been able to receive the food and the relief supply from the international community directly, not repeated. May God’s love be delivered to the land of North Korea by using the people of God through the process of delivering the relief supply to the North Korea residents from believers of each country around the world. Please have mercy on the North Koreans who have been hardened by poverty and oppression for a long time, and may their hearts be fully open to the Gospel, so that only God will be glorified and exalted in the land of North Korea. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
