The Military Agreement for the Implementation of the Panmunjom Declaration, adopted at the Pyongyang summit on December 19, first set off areas for inter-Korean hostilities in both the land, sea and air since the 1953 armistice agreement.
According to the agreement, the North and South agreed to cease all hostilities, which are the source of military tensions and clashes in all areas including the land, the sea and the sky. The two sides agreed to discuss a large-scale military drill aimed at the other side, a military build-up, various forms of containment, interception, and suspension of scouting against the other at the Inter-Korean Military Joint Committee. This could lead to a situation in which North Korea may brakes on the Korea-US Combined Training as well as our own power-up plans through the Military Joint Committee. In addition, North Korea can also challenge the ballistic missile power of our army and the Kill Chain which hits the North Korean leadership and key facilities.
In particular, it is a big problem to set up a no-fly zone of 10 ~ 40 km around the demilitarized zone military demarcation line and to stop air reconnaissance activities. In the case of fighter planes and reconnaissance aircraft, the eastern front line is to be set at 40 km from the Military Demarcation Line and 20 km from the West Front Line. In this area, tactical training along with a practice with full charge, such as air-to-surface missile firing of aircraft, and aerial reconnaissance activities are prohibited. Currently, the prohibited area is set at 9 km from the Military Demarcation Line by UNC.
In terms of the tactical reconnaissance plane to monitor the DMZ, and the medium and large UAV force, Korea and the United States have been overwhelmingly superior to the North Korean forces. As a result, it is a consultation that can only weaken our own reconnaissance surveillance ability. North Korea has placed about 70% of the land, sea, and air forces in the south of the Pyongyang-Wonsan line, so it is important for us to do a scouting surveillance activity near the demilitarized zone.
The two Koreas have also decided to suspend military exercises aimed at their opponents from November 1. On the ground, artillery fire drills and out-of-range maneuvers above regimental level are suspended within 5 km from the military demarcation line. “It is likely that tactical training of a front unit near the front-line ceasefire line will be difficult in the future,” military sources said. The two Koreas also decided to withdraw 11 of each of the North and South Korean GPs within 1 kilometer of the demilitarized zone as an example to withdraw all GPs in the demilitarized zone. North Korea has around 160 GPs, about 2.5 times more than 60 of us. If we withdraw the same number, the impact on our military force will be greater.
Concerns about this kind of consultation are not only what North Korea has been claiming has been accomplished consequently, but also that North Korea has violated consultations at any time in its history. However, after the announcement of the 19th Pyongyang Joint Declaration, South Korea is vigorous like reunification is already done. Now is the time when we, the people of God, will bring this nation and people into the hands of God and pray. The mighty God above all this protects this nation and people so that only the will of God will be fulfilled.
In Jeremiah 26:19, God says, “Did Hezekiah king of Judah or anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did not Hezekiah fear the LORD and seek his favor? And did not the LORD relent, so that he did not bring the disaster he pronounced against them? We are about to bring a terrible disaster on ourselves!” I am crying out to you for a situation where the area of stopping inter-Korean hostile acts in the land, sea, and air has been set up. In our view, all military consultations are determined in the direction that North Korea intends, and I see that the security of this country is in a very dangerous situation. So I entrust the security of this nation and people to the LORD of Hosts, who is powerful in battle. If everything agreed between the rulers and the rulers of the two Koreas is not in accordance with God’s will, break all agreement and power, and only God will rule. Especially, may we, the people of God, turn from our wicked ways, and come and pray with the heart of the Father to the Lord, the God who hears and heals, instead of raising a problem and roaring with a word like a judge.
