On August 5th, North Korea media reported that 13 people got into accident and were killed by “Typhoon Lion Rock” as they tried to retrieve portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il of North Korea in one of the school in the city of Hamgyong.
A source from Northern Hamgyong Province said that total of 13 people, including 7 teachers & 6 students were pulled into rapids of Typhoon while they were reaching out to grab the portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il under the direction of assistant principal at the advanced middle school of Songhak in the city of Hoeryong.
The North Korean authorities highly recognize the residents whoever first retrieve the portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jung Il in an emergency situation such as a flood or fire, otherwise it could have political consequences. Sources had indicated that they would probably not be in tragic death if they didn’t get the order to do so from assistant principal. Our source saids that competition of loyalty to the party forced them to death.
The idolatry of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong-un has brought many North Korean people to death. They are even forcing young students(children) to be loyal to the party . We should lift our prayers for a repentence of their sin of idolalatry.
“The arrogance of man will be brought low and the pride of men humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day, and the idols will totally disappear.”

Dear Lord, we are lifting up your precious land, North Korea, into your merciful hands. The land full of God’s loyal and grace, yet it is shamefully sinning againsts you with idolatry. We are asking for your help to immediately stop their sin of leading people, including little children, to suffering and death by worshipping idols. Dear Father, please grant your mercy to the North Korean people who are dying without hearing the Gospel. Please let the Bible continue to be delivered to them and let your underground church be revived in your will and your name. We praise you, our one and only Lord, our God, who will destroy all idolatries in North Korea, and who alone are worthy to receive all glory, honor and worship.
