On 16th, Radio Free Asia reported that not only South Korean dramas, films but also English education programs are very popular among North Korean young people. As the North Korean education system is failing, many young people whose parents are high officials are leaning foreign languages such as Chinese and English. It is said that English program series for SAT launched by EBS are smuggled into North Korea via China and it is well-received by youth people in North Korea. The program is copied into USBs and sold. 16GB USB is sold at 16 US dollars.
These kinds of the South Korean TV programs are spreading among young people especially whose parents are high ranking officers in the North Korean government. They already know how unrealistic the Kim’s policy is. They have to stop supporting Kim Jong Un but to take leading roles for reunification of the two Koreas through the gospel.
Father, thank You for the Scripture in Micah 5 verse 11 “And I will cut off the cities of your land, and throw down all your strong holds.” Lord, many young people from rich families in North Korea are receiving the South Korean English education programs. They have to know the North Korean ideology is a complete fabrication. Please let them take leading roles to pull down Kim Jong Un’s power. We pray for a peaceful reunification in the Korean peninsula. Elect new leaders who fear the Lord in North Korea. Please allow North and South Korean Christians to worship You together in freedom.
