The U.S. State Department has announced a report that lays out a strategy for strengthening efforts to help North Korean people get greater access to outside information. Using the airwaves is one of the most widely used means to give information to North Koreans. The States supports propaganda broadcast at North Korea, such as the Voice of America and Radio Free Asia to break down barriers. The South Korean government also uses propaganda broadcasts and loud speakers to front-line areas.
The report also suggests delivering DVDs, MP3 files, USBs, Radios and mobile phones by using balloons or manpower. A group of North Korean escapees’ organizations in South Korea are sending digital files by using balloons and drones. As we see, many people are involved to get North Korean people free and it actually works. Quite a few numbers of North Koreans crossed the river after they were convinced by information from outside.
The Cornerstone Ministries International has been sending medium-wave and shortwave broadcasting for years along with balloon ministry. We need to pray to send the gospel message into North Korea more and more to shake the nation and change its evil ideology.
Father, thank You for the Scripture in Isaiah 61 verse 1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” Lord, thank You for that not only the South Korean and the US governments but also private organizations are sending information to
North Korean people. Please make all the information available for all North Koreans. Let them know the reality of North Korea. They have to know the truth. Please heal the wounded heart with the Good news. Please inspire more South Korean churches to be involved in reaching out to North Korean people. We pray for reunification of the two Koreas to come quickly. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
