“On July 28th, according to Malta local residents and informed sources, two North Korean restaurant workers defected last year Summer while being monitored and one NK factory worker who stayed in Malta disappeared beginning of this year.”
“Eighteen year old male student among the North Korea national team who participated in the International Mathematical Olympia in Hong Kong, entered Consulate General of Korea in Hong Kong and sought asylum.
Last April after 13 North Koreans working in China defected as a group to South Korea. As a result, North Korea government increased the monitoring agent for workers sent abroad and strengthened the ideological education to increase the loyalty. However, this is not stopping the NK foreign workers from escaping for defection. The social level, area and method of escaping North Korea is also becoming very diverse. On April 13, there was a public execution of six people in connection with the incident. Among the six people executed SSA agent was included.
In the midst of political fear of public execution, strengthened ideological training and increased monitoring, recently all diverse levels of North Koreans are continuing to escape North Korea.
This is what North Korean leadership is afraid of for it shakes the ideology and system of North Korea. Therefore, much prayer is needed so that more escaping North Korea development will happen to shake the ideology and its system. This will ultimately quicken the Gospel unification.
Dear gracious loving God, we lift up to you the North Koreans escaping North Korea in diverse ways by claiming your Word in 2 Samuel 22:3, “My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior from violent people you save me.” We pray for safety upon the people escaping North Korea and the continual escaping will shake the stronghold of North Korean regime. Thus may North Korea collapse without having used the nuclear weapons and missiles they so depend on. And may escaping North Korea will be the main key to open the doors of North Korea to bring Gospel unification. Most importantly, may all the North Koreans who are escaping North Korea all meet Jesus and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. They will all become the disciples of Jesus to bear witness to North Koreans.
