“Ah! This Bible. I saw it many times when I was in North Korea.” “While I was in the North Korean border patrol, I saw this Bible a lot.” This is the story shared by a North Korean defector who was surprised to see the New Testament in North Korean language sent by the Cornerstone Mission. The Bible prepared in North Korean language, easy for the people to understand, is being sent. I pray that the day will come soon when doors will open in North Korea to send Bibles in 2026, first to each believer, and then one to each of the 5.9 million households, so that North Korea may be filled with the Word.
“But Zion said, ‘The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.’ Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.” Isaiah 49:14-15 (North Korean Parallel Bible) I pray that the North Korean believers, who are spiritually thirsty and longing without the Bible, may receive the North Korean language Bible. May doors open in various places throughout North Korea and its neighboring regions for the Bible to enter, and may creative methods be employed with the wisdom given by God to bring the Bible into North Korea. May God’s Word be abundantly present in the land of North Korea. May it comfort the North Korean believers with the Word, and may the South Korean believers remember that they are not forgotten, but are prayed for and loved.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
