As North Korea blocked trade and smuggling and issued a ban on the movement of residents, it was reported that some regions were unable to obtain food, resulting in deaths. A source from North Korea said, “The food situation is very difficult that the North Korean authorities had to carry out emergency relief by forcing collection of 5kg of corn per capita from officials of each agency and organization. The collected corn is being distributed in 10kg increments for each neighborhood unit (20-40 households), but the residents are accusing the authorities, saying that ‘they are joking with their lives’”. We lift to God’s hands North Korea, which is suffering from the bad food conditions due to COVID-19, and we pray that the people will seek God first.
“And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:29-32
Lord, who spoke that you are pleased to give the kingdom of God to the saints, people in North Korea are dying from starvation due to the COVID-19. The food situation at hand is urgent, but we pray that the people will go before you, Lord, with humility, and seek your kingdom and righteousness first. When that happens, please guide them to see and experience the fulfillment of your promise that you will take responsibility for all the other needs.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
