In recent years, Chinese officials are trying to send approximately 5 million Chinese tourists within a year to North Korea by mandating state and public officials, schools and kindergarten teachers to travel to North Korea. This was in accordance with Xi Jinping’s instructions, and it was reported that North Korea’s tourism has been activated since July after Xi Jinping returned from his visit to Pyongyang last year in June and announced that he should help North Korea through tourism. We pray that China’s evil scheme of helping North Korea maintain the regime by deepening the North Korean economic dependence on China will end.
With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you— Even Assyria has joined them to reinforce Lot’s descendants. May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace. Lord, we raise up to you the situation of North Korean tourism being activated by China. This is not only an act of throwing a lifeline into the North Korean regime, which is in serious economic hardship but also a countermeasure to international sanctions and efforts to denuclearize North Korea. We pray for the collapse of China’s scheme of helping North Korea maintain the current regime.
