The South Korean Defense Ministry said it plans to secure North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile interceptors by establishing a mid-term defense plan for five years from 2020 to 2024. In response, a US military expert insisted that at least 1,000 interceptor missiles would be required for the ROK military to intercept more than 800 North Korean ballistic missiles. He also stated that in order to strengthen the missile defense system it is important to increase the number of interceptor missiles, but it is also important to set up as many radars as possible to track the trajectory of low-flying missiles, such as the North-Iskander missile (KN-23). Therefore, he repeatedly argued that integration with the US missile defense system and close collaboration with Japan is needed.
“And said, “O Lord, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.” 2 Chronicles 20:6
God above all, North Korea continues to threaten with nuclear and missiles every day, but we have no power to stop it. Military experts are advising to have different strategies and weapons. However, we know that even with the most advanced weapons and superior strategies, if you, God, is not with us, then all is in vain. We pray that you have mercy on South Korea, which is having diplomatic friction with North Korea, as well as Japan, China, Russia, and the United States. We also pray that South Korea will faithfully trust, obey, and fear only you, Lord.
