The request for return of the North Korean cargo ship “Wise Honest” has been going on for 10 days. North Korea has been pouring out criticisms towards the United States by calling them a “burglar country” and pointing out their action as “illegal extortion” for seizing the “Wise Honest” for illegal transportation of coal. In the meantime, the Chosun Sinbo Newspaper, a pro-North Korean organization, mentioned the Banco Delta Asia (BDA) case regarding the seizure of the cargo ship. “BDA” is the case where the U.S. Treasury Department has frozen North Korean account for concern of Kim Jong Il’s money laundering. It has been interpreted by the diplomatic sources that the pro-North Korea media mentioning ‘BDA’ shows a high possibility that the cargo ship is related with Kim Jong Un’s slush fund. We pray that North Korea will no longer violate sanctions and that Kim Jong Un’s slush funds will become insufficient so that the North Korean regime will be weakened.

For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah; the lords of the nations have struck down its branches, which reached to Jazer and strayed to the desert; its shoots spread abroad and passed over the sea.” Based on the words of Isaiah 16: 6-8, Lord, we raise the case of the detained North Korean cargo ship assumed to be in connection with the slush fund of Kim Jong Un. It is said that Kim Jong Un is expending foreign currency to reveal exhausted government funds and foreign currency holdings in order to avoid the effects following the sanctions against North Korea. He is cleverly avoiding sanctions to fill the insufficient fund. We pray that the North Korean sanction violation be thoroughly investigated and the sanctions carried out so that the money of Kim Jong Un will dry up. We pray that North Korea’s fundamental base be shaken by its difficulties in managing the elite groups and executives of the North.
