[Prayer] North Korea has stolen more than $ 500 million through cyber attacks on virtual currency exchanges

The United Nations reported that North Korea has stolen more than $ 500 million through cyber attacks on virtual currency exchanges in Asia, including Japan and South Korea, from January 2017 to September 2018. It is estimated that more than 20 million dollars were illegally remitted by cyber attacks. North Korea has been raising a cyber attack unit and mobilizing it to raise money for regime. Virtual currency, which is relatively loose in regulation and difficult to trace, is abused as a means of avoiding sanctions. Based on this situation, the report urged the UN Security Council to consider the cyber attack situation in North Korea if it examines additional financial sanctions.

We pray that North Korea would repent of stealing from other countries and turn back to God so that they would become a nation of doing good works by using their own hands.

“Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands,

that they may have something to share with those in need.”

Ephesians 4:28
