[Prayer] Typhoid fever is spreading rapidly in North Korea
Typhoid fever is spreading rapidly in Hoeryong City, North Hamgyong Province. In some villages, deaths occurred. Last year, typhoid fever occurred in Yanggang Island, and many elderly people lost their lives. Despite repeated epidemic damage, the North Korean authorities have simply failed to offer clear measures, only recommending to drink boiled water.
Typhoid fever is a disease that can be avoided well enough only by vaccination. However, infectious diseases such as typhoid fever often occur in North Korea, where inoculation, as well as the prevention and prescription of medicines are not performed properly. Poor water and sanitation facilities are also a major cause of the spread of typhoid.
Prayer is needed for the North Korean people to have a better treatment for typhoid fever by improving the health and hygiene environment in North Korea.
“Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.”
