[Prayer] Protect the families of the North Korean defectors from being caught
“The North Korean regime has made a law to punish those who call to their family in South Korea by anti-state act. You can guess how much we are nervous about that.”
This is the text message that a North Korean defector received from his family in North Korea last evening. While the North Korean regime has created a peacemaking atmosphere in which it has communicated with South Korea on the surface, they have intensively inspected and cracked down on the ideological trends of its residents, which shows the regime’s dual behavior. Prayer is needed for the families of the North Korean defectors not to suffer from the hardship caused by the enhanced crackdown. Also, we need to pray for the North Korean believers who keep their faith not to be caught and punished.
In Luke 12:5, God says, “But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.” I lift up the families of the North Korean defectors who are suffering from the severe crackdown. Please protect those who call to their family in South Korea from being caught, and grant them a new environment where they are able to talk freely without being anxious about being caught. Let the North and the South freely come and go, and let the gate of the gospel be fully opened so that the North Korean people will return to the Lord every single day! I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
