[Prayer] Pray for the North Korean human right issues to be exposed correctly
A UN resolution calling for improvement of human rights situation in North Korea was proposed on October 31st. According to Quintana, the Special Rapporteur, North Korea’s purge of senior officials have been done frequently after the UN sanctions were tightened, and the number of people who hear South Korean broadcasting and are taken to the camp has surged. Moreover, there have been more cases in which the farmers who complains about the failure of the agricultural system are taken to the camp. Prayer is needed for the North Korean people who groan under the ruthless oppression of the North Korean authorities.
In Proverbs 31:8-9, God says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” I lift up the issue of the human rights of the North Korean people who were created in the image of God. May the next resolution, which is submitted to the United Nations General Assembly next month, include the North Korean human rights situation correctly. Please intervene in all the plenary sessions so that the Lord’s will for the North can be fulfilled. Above all, please prevent the prisoners of the political prison camps from being treated inhumanly and dying. May the regulators and their authority not be increased. I pray to stop the severe persecution of the believers in particular. Please grant them a new day in which they can worship God freely with the freedom of faith as soon as possible.
