[Prayer] May the internal confusion increase in North Korea
The amount of electricity supplied to the northern part of North Korea such as Yanggang, Jagang, and North Hamgyong province has decreased significantly. In the case of Hyesan city in Yanggang province, electricity was completely cut off in November. This is because of the construction of the Samjiyeon Tourism Special Zone, which Kim Jong Eun puts an effort into as a national project. After Kim Jung Eun’s order to speed up the completion of construction by 2020 at the end of last October, nearby household electricity is being turned to the construction site of Samjiyeon. The inconvenience of the residents is increasing when the electricity supply is not known to be resumed.
The residents of Yanggang Province have already paid a lot of sacrifice to the construction of Samjiyeon by the delivery of materials and mobilization of assault troops. That is why there is a strong opposition to this power shortage. Especially, when the winter cold starts, it is expected to be difficult for the lives of people, having a problem of heating and elevator use as well. Prayer is needed for the North Koreans suffering from construction work that is not related to public welfare.
In Nahum 1:13, God says, “Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away.” I lift up a situation where the North Korean authorities are pushing for the unreasonable construction and the North Korean people are exploited for various resources including electricity. The North Korean people who are already under a hard circumstance are suffering from severe health problems due to cold winters and power shortages. May the North Korean authorities stop the evil deeds of forcing their residents to sacrifice the materials and manpower for the construction of Samjiyeon. Also, please let the dissatisfaction of the residents who have been triggered by this incident grow bigger, so that the internal confusion will be increased, and furthermore, it will lead to instability of the system. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen!
