[Prayer] Let the North Korean cyberattack stop
‘An average of 1.5 million North Korean cyberattacks per day is being imposed on South Korea,’ said the US Democratic Guardian Foundation last month. The Foundation warned that hacking will be actively committed not only to South Korea but also to the US government because of the ongoing pressure on the north. In 2014, North Korea launched a cyberattack on Sony Pictures, the production company that produced the movie, “Interview” which made fun of Kim Jong Un. North Korea’s cyber-terrorism technology has become more sophisticated than before, and will soon reach the level of extracting important national confidential information. In recent years, Ransomware and the Counter Exchange, which are capable of monetary gain in a short period of time, are mainly targeted. If the North Korean cyber unit infiltrates the social network service (SNS) such as KakaoTalk or national infrastructure such as air and railroad, it will lead to serious loss of life as well as considerable material loss. Prayer is needed to prevent North Korea from carrying out cyber provocations and to prevent confidential data leakage or economic loss.
In Psalm 36:1-2, God says, “I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.” I lift up the cyber security threat of North Korea. A North Korean hacker organization is attacking major national institutions and infrastructure, including governments, businesses, finance, press, and power. Don’t let these evil schemes succeed, and let North Korea ‘s cyber terrorism, which is being carried out secretly, be revealed to the world. Also, let North Korea leave from its evil way and return to God. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen!
