[Prayer] A terrible famine in North Korea this year
“This year, I was informed that North Korea ‘s famine was very severe. It is getting worse and harder to live because the price of rice is going up due to the severe famine.” It is news that the refugee is told from his family in North Korea. North Koreans, who are hard to live in because of this severe famine, are in a situation where they need to prepare even firewood for food and heating as the weather is getting colder and the winter is approaching, so we need to pray for this situation.
In Deuteronomy 15: 11, God says, “There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore, I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.” I lift up the situation of North Koreans who are suffering from extreme famine even during the harvest season. Please make a way for them, who are in difficulty because of the famine, to be provided with food and necessities. Therefore, the clothes, hats, and socks are sent to the suffering North Koreans who don’t have the proper heating system even though the weather is getting cold, which enables the love of God to be delivered to them in the process of sending the relief goods. Let us, as God’s people, stand on the ground of sharing love first for this work. Therefore, may all the people in the North hear the gospel and have the pleasure of confessing and believing in Jesus Christ. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
