[Prayer] North Koreans who cannot live without antisocial activities
Hyesan, Ryanggang Province, is a region where there are a lot of antisocial activities such as influx of outside information and smuggling due to the border with China. After the Inter-Korean summits and the North Korea-United States summit, a warning about ‘capitalist yellow wind’ was issued, and special instructions were issued to keep the revolutionary way of life when commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the regime last month. In the morning of the second day of the last month, there was a “crowd exposition meeting” of 200 to 300 people as a crackdown and warning against antisocial activities in Hyesan.
Nonetheless, the antisocial activities among North Koreans cannot be stopped because it is difficult to obtain economic income without this method. Among the antisocial activities defined by the North Korean national security and the People’s Security Agency, fraud, rape, drugs, and gambling are prevalent. As a result, this phenomenon makes the North Koreans hurt, and there should be a plan to systematically enable the residents to maintain their lives with stable and healthy economic activities in North Korea. However, the North Korean authorities are not concerned about solving fundamental problems. They are only urgent to crack down on the residents. In spite of a situation where the residents should do a drug dealing for their living, the North Korean authorities only focus on maintaining their regime. We need to pray for the North Korean regime to collapse and for the environment, in which the North Korean residents can freely do economic activities and the Gospel is preached, to be established.
In Ecclesiastes 3:17, God says, “I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” I lift up the situation of North Korea where the North Korean authorities are cracking down on antisocial activities. Although the North Korean authorities are strictly regulating Jangmadang, may a new environment, in which free economic activities are guaranteed due to internal changes, be established in North Korea where the North Korean people gain income through antisocial activities. May the Gospel be preached in the course of economic activities and the church of God be established throughout North Korea. For this, let lots of items and materials that can share the Gospel from the outside be sent to the inside of North Korea, and let the North Korean people freely worship God as soon as possible.
