[Prayer] North Korean seafood that is sold in Hunchun Jangmadang despite the sanctions against North Korea
As the Chinese government tightened sanctions against North Korea from late last year, North Korean seafood and minerals could not enter China. However, nowadays, North Korean seafood and products are being sold in the Chinese region adjacent to North Korea such as Hunchun and Yanji. Most of the smuggling in North Korea is led by military units or members of national trade organizations who are disguised as private businesses. The foreign currency that is earned this way is used as Kim Jong-un’s governing fund. The prayer is needed for North Korea to abolish the totalitarian dictatorship system and open the economy, so the North Koreans will be free from hunger of their spirit and body.
In Psalm 23: 1-2, God says, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.” I lift up a situation where the continued smuggling of North Korea happens despite the sanctions against North Korea. May the wicked use of funds through foreign currency earnings to maintain Kim’s family idol regime stop. Let the North Korean authorities completely dismantle the nuclear weapons and related facilities that caused sanctions on North Korea and open up the economy so that the North Koreans no longer starve to death for national reasons and have a chance to hear the word of God. Please have mercy on the North Korean people who have been brainwashed to devote their loyalty to the Kim family and to prevent the opportunity to know the Gospel. May God’s Word be delivered to them so that more North Koreans can enjoy the LORD God as their shepherd. Please protect the North Korean believers and let the church of Jesus Christ grow in North Korea. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
