[Prayer] One out of every five children are malnourished in North Korea
According to a recent UNICEF report, one out of every five North Korean children is suffering from chronic malnutrition. In rural areas, medical facilities are inferior and even the diagnosis of diseases is difficult, so medical education and support are indispensable. Despite the continued efforts of the UN Children’s Fund to secure funding, the international community has been poorly supported by North Korea’s repeated military provocations.
We need much prayer to help the North Korean children for food assistance and improvement of their living environment in spite of North Korean government’s ambition to maintain dictatorship. In addition, pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ is prevalent in the land of North Korea so that not only the physical body will be fed but also the soul will be fed by the word of life necessary for those who are hungry.
As Jesus said in Matthew 14:19-21, 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children. I pray for the North Korean children who are suffering from chronic malnutrition. Let the North Korean system collapse, and the doors of North Korea be opened swiftly, so that support for North Korean children will become more active and the poor living environment of North Korea will be improved. Let Jesus Christ himself feed them full, so that the hungry and needy North Koreans and the children will be filled with the bread of eternal life.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
