[Prayer] North Korea residents are suffering from continual malnutrition

On the September 11, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the International Agricultural Development Fund, the World Food Program, the United Nations Children’s Fund, and the World Health Organization (WHO) published a report on global food security and nutrition in 2018. According to the report, the number of North Koreans suffering from malnutrition from 2015 to 2017 is about 11 million, 43.4% of the total population of North Korea. Compared to the same year in which less than 2.5% of the total population of Korea was malnourished, it is possible to know how serious the malnutrition of North Koreans is. Prayer is needed to spread the gospel by delivering relief items to the North Korean people who are in need through the North Korean believers.

In Deuteronomy 10:18, God says, “He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.” We lift up and pray for North Korean where nearly half of the population are suffering from malnutrition. We also pray for the people of North Korea who have had crop damage from floods, typhoons, and heat wave this year to be able to pass this winter safely without hunger. May International organizations or small-scale NGOs be able to deliver milk and food directly to North Koreans. Especially, through the North Korean believers, may they have opportunities to preach the gospel with the love of God by delivering relief goods to the North Korea residents. Please open the door to North Korea soon, so that the necessary food is supplied to the hungry North Korean people, and they can enjoy the blessing of hearing the gospel freely and worshiping God. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
