Hoeryŏng is a city in North Hamgyŏng Province, North Korea. The city has been badly damaged by the flood in August. Since it is located very close to the Tumen River, many North Koreans travel via the city on their illegal journey to China. The town is so called a hiding place among North Korean escapees. However, according to civic organizations helping North Koreans, the North Korean government is forcing Hoeryong citizens to move out to higher ground. They are told the damage was caused because of the town was built on low ground.
The hiding place will be removed and North Korean people will suffer worse. Kim Jung Un has devoted his energy to prevent people from escaping from his initial years in office. A barbed-wire fence was set up where North Koreans usually travel through to China. It is allegedly known that he actually planned to move one of the towns in North Hamgyŏng Province entirely. We need to pray against the Kim Jung Un’s evil policy. Please pray for North Koreans to make safe and quick escape from their nation.
Father, thank You for the Scripture in Isaiah 62 verse 10 “Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up a signal over the peoples.“ Lord, we life up North Hamgyŏng Province in North Korea before You. Please protect the town as it is. North Koreans who are planning to escape will struggle if the town is removed. We pray for more safe hiding places to be provided to North Koreans who are seeking for freedom. Lord, You are their ultimate hiding place. Please protect them from police officers. Secure their lives and give them many chances to hear the gospel message. We pray for many different escape routes to be open to North Koreas. We believe that peaceful reunification will come to the two Koreas. We worship You and give You thanks because You are worthy to be praised. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
